One of the largest gala openings the island has ever seen will happen this Saturday along the Marina Bay promenade. Singapore’s fifth Louis Vuitton boutique will also have the honour of being South-East Asia’s first Maison, bringing the total number in the world to 12 after France, China, USA, Taiwan and Japan. Which certainly explains the mammoth amount of logistics that is being put together for this event.

Already, I’ve heard that celebrities will be flown in by the plane load with Louis Vuitton sparing no expense. Bollywood stars, top Chinese models and an Academy Award winning actress are expected to attend the gala opening, along with celebrities, socialites and press from Singapore and around the region.

And that’s just for starters. The event is so momentous that Louis Vuitton will be screening the gala opening ‘live’ on Facebook that very night, with the streaming kicking off online from 7 in the evening. For those of you who will be home, this will be a great way to spend the night, gawking at your favourite celebrities looking resplendent in all their RTW and finery from the French label.
