Delvaux Multifunction D Pochette

One of the more interesting SLGs I’ve seen in a long while, the Delvaux Multifunction D Pochette is something I wouldn’t mind having in my personal collection. For starters, it is shaped like the letter D, which is also the first letter of the brand that was established in Belgium in 1829. And in case you are wondering, Hermes was founded in 1837, and Goyard, 1853. Which officially makes Delvaux the oldest of the lot.

It is also a small company, making fine leather products today the same way they did a hundred years ago. But back to the pochette at hand. Besides the fact that it is shaped like the letter D, I love the fact that it has credit card slots on one side (6 to be exact). What’s more, the 13.5 cm by 10 cm pochette packs a zip that opens widely, allowing you to store other essential bits like loose change or cash.

A great alternative wallet, and a stylish one at that too. Retailing for EUR290, it also comes in Sunrise (an intense orange) besides the one in Café (shown above). My only grouse? Though they do ship internationally, charges start from EUR110 which does not make much sense at all. Another complaint? They will ship to Sierra Leone and the Solomon Islands, but not to Singapore.

I don’t get it.
