Having been around since 1941, Coach certainly has ample archived designs to look towards for inspiration. It was also one of the first few brands that made bags affordable. Back in the early 90s, you only had two choices. Either very expensive designer labels or those cheap department store knock-offs. Put them together and you’ve got the new Coach Classics collection, an ensemble of 5 different bags now available online exclusively at Net-A-Porter, designed by creative director Reed Krakoff.
Besides the Coach Classics Madison Small Leather Tote (GBP325) which I think is totally adorable especially in Camel, I also like the Classics Leather Field Bag, the larger satchel-like leather bag that retails for GBP475. Fuss-free and simple, the elegantly sized bag measures 36 cm across, just right for a day out at work or play without being too clunky. The one in Navy Blue (shown above) also somehow goes better with the gold-tone hardware, which sorta seals it for me as the one to get. In other words, it is my personal pick from the collection.

it is perfect for me. thanks for the post bb. and congrats again on your female feature!
For true Coach quality, buy the original vintage ones off eBay, and at a fraction of the price.
Hmm,is it just me or does the leather field bag seem similar to the vintage LVs from the side? Then again “square” is so in.
I didn’t know LV had vintage pieces in plain leather. Thought they started with the house monograms first.
