There are wallets, and there is the Bill Amberg Leather Billfold, possibly one the thinnest wallets available at the moment. Pared down and minimalist, this is definitely not a wallet for everyone. It does not have an expandable coin pouch, comes without 183 credit card slots, nor does it allow you to store receipts from a year ago.
What it is, however, is a simple billfold made of leather that’s both stylish and functional (enough). The main feature is the metal note clip, where you slip your Ishaks (or Benjamins) under. There is also a single slot pocket at the side, and in front, another pocket in the form of a stud-fastening pouch.
So for those who prefer not to have a bulge sticking out from the back (that’s just wrong), you can get this Bill Amberg piece from Mr Porter at GBP100 (around SGD205 or so before shipping). Which isn’t so bad considering it’s full leather. The colour combination is not bad too, don’t you think? And if colour is not your thing, there is another version in black and white.
