Every year without fail Loewe will launch a specially designed range of luxury goods with a Japanese theme and this year is no different. Poignantly called the Cherry Blossom collection, it has become a symbol of what’s happened recently and the hope that like the cherry blossom, Japan will recover and be in full bloom once again.
The limited edition Loewe ‘Cherry Blossom’ Amazona will be launched in Singapore at the newly-renovated Peter Marino-designed Loewe boutique at Ngee Ann City come 1 May 2011. A study in intricacy, the Amazona comes with laser-cut ‘blossoms’ that evoke the ancient art of Japanese woodcraft.
Available in 2 sizes and priced at SGD2690 and SGD3650 respectively, each pastel-pink bag is trimmed in darker shades of pink that mirror the varying shades of the blossoms as they change colours over time.
Do check out the accompanying video and when you’re done, follow the link and head to Loewe’s online site where you can either send your messages of support to Japan, or make a donation to the Red Cross.
