A vivid explosion of digitally-enhanced floral blooms, this is perhaps my favourite print from the Spring-Summer 2011 Womens Jil Sander collection. You can even say it is perhaps my favourite print for all of S/S11, having been firmly imprinted at the back of my mind since the first day I spotted it.
It has since blossomed into a thousand different products (I jest, actually maybe 10) for the retail market, appearing on dresses, skirts, tees and the like and popping up online for sale.
Take the floral-print pencil skirt for example, which has appeared on Net-A-Porter. Priced at GBP490, it’s one of those pieces you can dress up (or down) with, and because florals never go out of style, it is one wardrobe staple you can depend on for a long time to come.
Another beautiful piece is the Jil Sander Floral-Print Market Bag (shown above), which is the almost exactly like the acetate version I featured back in January, but with an additional strap. And it makes sense, seeing how now you can actually carry it over your shoulder. Made of up silk twill, the bag retails for GBP495.
And no, I’m not nearly done yet. Spotted on FarFetch, the Jil Sander Floral-Envelope Clutch that retails for GBP163. Measuring 33 cm by 21.5 cm, the generously-sized clutch (actually a portfolio) comes with a top zip to keep everything secure.
Last but not least, the floral-print scarf that retails for GBP225. Lovely, isn’t it?
