My third show for Paris Fashion Week was Céline, and boy did I have a great time. Being a huge fanboy of Phoebe Philo, I was certainly honoured and humbled to get a show ticket when I knew many others were turned away. And because I wasn’t allowed to post my own snapshots, I took some from Vogue instead.
For the Fall-Winter 2011 Womens Céline collection, there were 3 new pieces presented on the runway. And the one I’m loving the most at the moment also happens to be the doctor’s bag (shown above) in 2 sizes (the regular and another that’s slightly elongated). Simple and elegant, with contrasting leather trim, it’s also one of those shapes we’ve not seen on the runway for a long, long while.
The other 2 pieces comprise clutches that look as if they were made for the iPad. Slim and angular, there is one with just a simple front flap and another with an all-around zip that can be clutched or hand-held via its handle.
