Featuring model Maria Carla Boscono and shot by famed fashion photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, the Spring-Summer 2011 Loewe ad campaign was strong and stylised, unlike the previous campaign that was a touch more casual and relaxed. Featuring a bevy of beauties (read: bags), the only classic piece that made it to the campaign was of course the Loewe Amazona, in luscious suede with patent leather handles in brilliant pink.
A new bag, consider the Loewe Lia the bigger, more grown-up sister of the Ala, with the perforated Loewe logo in the centre of the bag. Accompanied by Loewe’s trademark leather pom-poms, it will find favour with those looking for a relaxed yet roomy leather tote.
Another new offering, the Loewe Flamenco is frivolity personified. A drawstring shoulder bag in suede with contrasting trims, it is one of those bags you either love, or hate. I haven’t seen this in person for myself yet so I will not say anything more till that day comes.
Last but not least, may I present the Loewe May, a versatile piece that can be carried over the shoulder (via the removable shoulder strap) or in the hand. It is also a chameleon, allowing you to detach the buckles from the side of the bag and use it as a tote.
Available in 2 different sizes, prices will start from SGD2690 for the smaller size in grained calfskin leather to SGD11,390 for the larger one in exotic ostrich.
