Consider this a quick update. The Mulberry Edie collection is now available in Singapore (check out either Hilton Shopping Gallery or Takashimaya Department Store) and the prices are as follows. The bigger Edie (36 cm by 24 cm) will retail for SGD1990, whereas the smaller Edie (30 cm by 20 cm) will retail for SGD1590. A hybrid of the Bayswater and the Alexa (yes I know I said that before), it is the perfect ‘can’t-be-bothered-and-without-a-worry-in-the-world’ slouchy casual bag.
Only 2 colours will be available locally, including the one in Sparkle Tweed (in Oak), and the one in heavy grain leather (in Black).
And yes, the funky guitar strap actually goes pretty well with this collection, giving it that perfect bohemian touch. Don’t take my word for it. Just head on down and try it out for yourself.
If however, you’re a fan of the classic Bayswater, here’s more updates. 3 new colours are now available locally, and they include the one in Electric Blue (soft matte leather), with hardware in gunmetal, and it retails for SGD1860. Don’t know why but my eyes hurt whenever I look at it.
More pleasing to the eye is the one in Chestnut (exotic ostrich skin), and this retails for SGD7690. Eyes don’t hurt as much, but the wallet smarts.
Last but not least, something that’s both pleasant to look at, and at a price that the wallet won’t freak out over, the Bayswater in Light Peach (patent leather) with matching hardware in rose gold that retails for SGD1860. Personally, my favourite of the lot.
