Ever so often a new bag will come along and I’ll get excited all over again, which admittedly is getting rarer and rarer these days. So when I chanced upon the new Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Opera, I started to beam. From ear to ear.
The design is simple enough. A cross-body satchel with a generous front flap, it’s a weaved intrecciato delight to behold. What’s more, it is lined in plush suede on the inside, and in my opinion a nice touch. And that’s not all. The interior is accessed via a drawstring closure which allows you to have it as wide as you need it to be, unlike those bags where you stick your hand in and it gets stuck. Instantly.
Available in 2 sizes, the smaller of the two in Plum is available at Net-A-Porter for USD1750. Or check out Bottega Veneta ION Orchard where they retail for SGD2920 and SGD4060 respectively both both sizes and a better selection of F/W10 colours.
And before I sign off, a quick piece of advice. While I love to shop online, I personally draw the line at pieces when it starts costing an arm and a leg. Why? It is just to ensure I personally get to pick the exact one I want, and if anything goes wrong at least I’ll have somewhere local to bring it back to.

given the size of the bag, the width of this strap is ok but i’d expect the bigger size to have a wider strap otherwise it’s going to be weird and the weight will put too much strain on the strap.
Stunning colour, excellent craftmanship. BB do you know what other colours are available in SG?
Like the color, like the strap, don’t like the flap!
I LOVE IT.
i’m impressed with BV… their intrecciato design is so iconic, they don’t have to put their name/label on any of their bag… people can instantly recognize BV
Like the color, but the bag really doesn’t make me woww
it’s nice, simple but pretty unique… totally cool (FB)
Nice… BV has always an certain indescribable charm. Question – for ladies or unisex?
Good question Richard. The one here is definitely too small for a guy. The bigger oversized one, maybe.
