‘God created Woman… and Marc Jacobs dresses her’ so goes the first line of the press release I just received with regards to the Fall-Winter 2010 Womens Louis Vuitton ad campaign. Bringing together 3 top supermodels (Natalia Vodianova, Christy Turlington and Karen Elson) whom Marc Jacobs lovingly refers to as ‘the blonde, the brunette and the redhead’, the campaign is shot in a set resembling a movie star’s dressing room, one that’s both cinematic and glamourous. And in case anyone’s wondering, that’s the Louis Vuitton Monogram Fleur de Jais Speedy which should retail for USD2250.
Shot by Steven Meisel, the exquisite images capture the eternally feminine spirit of the runway show, one that’s all about ‘beautiful, ladylike clothes’. And that’s the gorgeous Cuir Cinéma in Rose at the bottom right hand corner. Tentatively priced at USD4450, it is a gorgeous bag that requires a huge chunk of change.
And if the sephia images have left you gasping for more (or the pre-fall Monogram Aviator), follow the link to check out more stills from the ad campaign, as well an exclusive making of video on my Facebook fan page.
‘God created Woman… and Marc Jacobs dresses her’. Indeed.

I am rather taken with the Louis Vuitton Monogram Fleur de Jais Speedy despite not being a fan of the speedy!
Great! Girls look like they are preparing for the new shoot of “Mad Men”… BTW, I really love “Cuir Cinéma” in Rose.
