It’s been almost a week since attending the Fall-Winter 2010 Womens Loewe press presentation in Taipei and honestly even till today I’m still savouring the memory of it all. The presentation itself was held in a spacious contemporary art gallery filled with million dollar artworks, something that I only realised much later after everything was said and done. And as big as the space was, everything was set up just right. It didn’t feel cold and stark, instead it felt intimate and cosy, without taking away from the luxury aspect of it all that’s steeped deep within the Loewe DNA.
And it’s with this trip that I take away with me a newfound respect and admiration of a brand I’ve always appreciated. One that emphasises on quality rather than quantity, one that adheres closely to their archival classics and yet innovates without going too far overboard. One that’s never about trends, but creating pieces that can be used over and over again.
But if that’s not enough to convince anyone else, it doesn’t really matter either. I’m already a convert and if anything else, I believe in putting my money where my mouth is.
And my growing Loewe collection is evident of that. I’ll also be sharing more insights into pieces from the F/W10 collection that will be released in the coming months; including the one that’s on my current lust list, and the new Loewe Ala Tote that’s just totally chic.
