Doing my rounds in town yesterday (and shopping with a certain Ms Tan), I chanced upon the new Bottega Veneta Nero Moro Spinnaker Duffel at their store in Takashimaya Department Store. From the Fall-Winter 2010 Mens Bottega Veneta collection, I was actually looking at their S/S10 sale stuff when I got distracted by this glistening stud perched on the 2nd shelf. Like a well-oiled hunk out in the sun, it beckoned me and drew me to it in an instant.
Made of tech-nylon of some sort (I’m not 100% sure), it looked even better up close. And besides looking really good, it was also extremely lightweight, with braided leather tote handles that can be adjusted in length. Retailing for SGD2320 a piece, there’s another design which comes in the shape of a boxier duffle that also retails for the same price. And if you’re looking for something smaller, look into the display counter and you’ll see a double-zipped (or was it triple-zipped) pochette for just SGD660.
Subconsciously or not, I’ve been noticing loads of nylon pieces in town lately. Besides the one here, I covered the one from YSL recently as well. Prada has also launched new nylon bags for both men and women, and Loewe is now having 30% off on their nylon pieces, including a tote and a weekender for just SGD1673 or so after discount.
