On the runway of the Spring-Summer 2010 Womens Louis Vuitton show some pieces in Monogram Denim were spotted. Now while I have nothing against Monogram Denim in general, but I was beginning to feel it looked a little dated. I only really liked 1 piece from the existing collection and that was the Pleaty which has since been discontinued.
The new pieces that were sent down had an upgrade of sorts. Marc Jacobs gave them a dégradé effect and added bold details like shoulder straps in bright colours and oversized leather pulls. Louder, fresher and definitely younger, it no longer looks frumpy and dated.
Besides Monogram Denim’s signature blue, 3 new colours have been added into the palette, including Pink (shown above), Orange and Green. Other pieces in the collection include shoulder bags and a huge messenger. More details to come.
And yes, the foxtails and the leather tassels will be sold as individual pieces come next year, so you can pick and choose the combination you want for your bags.
