If Tomas Maier had his way, women next year will be dressed in shades of cream, a blank canvas that they can play up with accessories. And to prove his point, he sent models down the runway dressed in the most neutral of shades, with bags in colours so vivid it would put the rainbow to shame.
And in keeping with the theme of all things light and neutral, bags from the Spring-Summer 2010 Womens Bottega Veneta collection are constructed with invisible aluminum hardware which makes them incredibly lightweight as well. Personally I like the ones shown above here, the nappa leather handbag with ‘straw’ edges, and the 2-toned bucket bag with the bright purple handles.
Loving the hand-painted flat clutch on the right as well. Could actually work for a guy too, though how practical it could really be remains to be seen.
And last but not least, a Cabat made entirely of distressed strips of nappa leather, which at first glance looks like woven straw. Frankly I’m still on the fence about this one. Would you? Or wouldn’t you?
loving the hand-painted flat clutch too! i like the colours!
I personally think the Cabat is beautiful. Casual but with substance. 🙂
Hmm….I'm definitely loving the hand-painted flat clutch as well.
But the Cabat…Hmm…Does it come in other colours? Perhaps a darker shade will make it look less like a straw bag. Indeed…it looks like one now.
