Having seen most of the pieces from the Fall-Winter 2009 Mens Prada collection yesterday at both ION Orchard and Paragon, I can safely say this. Straight to the point without any satirical references; there are no unnecessary frills, no obscene colours. Hallmarks of the collection include angular shapes, stiff handles and simple detailing… honestly (in my opinion), as good as it gets.
Every piece is clearly targeted at the working professional for work and travel, briefcases, duffles and totes in either leather, nylon, or a mix of both. Take the Prada Leather Runway Tote (shown above) for example; a gorgeous culmination of supple leather and the barest hint of gold detailing.
Men, you should also check out the immense selection now available at ION Orchard, which includes past season offerings like Bellman and Skull, in the form of nylon totes, SLGs and other accessories like pouches and key rings, great for those who missed out the first time.

The new range of Prada's men bags are considerably better than the last few seasons. More sombre colours were noted and more structured in construction.
