Yes, I’ll admit it. I’m a size-queen, which I realised last night when I was packing and sorting through all 17 of my bags. For some reason I’ve never liked small bags, especially those that are short and flat. Small sling bags are the worst, there is always almost never enough space for anything. I like my bags ample and roomy, with enough space for all my stuff and then some.
Take my Louis Vuitton collection for example. Monogram Canvas Keepall45 With Shoulder Strap; big. Monogram Graffiti Keepall55; big. Monogram Mini Lin Initiales Keepall; big. Damier Ebene Greenwich PM; big. And it goes on and on… Balenciaga Weekender in Automne and Tempete; big. Mulberry Taylor Tote; big. Goyard Saint Louis GM; big. Gucci Large Tote With Double Handles; big. Jack Spade 826 Reversible Coal Bag; big. Burberry Buckleigh Nylon Tote; big.
Even my recent haul from Europe proves my sub-conscious instinctively always goes for big; Goyard Boeing45, Mulberry Mabel Holdall, Loewe Anagram Weekend Handbag and Longchamp Le Pliage ‘Eiffel Tower’ Travel Bag. And not forgetting my other 2 Le Pliage bags, which are also travel size.
And right now I’m lusting after Loewe’s current season offering, the Amazona Weekender in calf leather (shown above) that retails for a cool SGD4990 which is also big, big, big.
Because once you go big you never go back… bags; that is….
One last thing, I will also be clearing loads of Louis Vuitton from my personal collection (mostly SLGs and other bits), to free up more funds for next year’s expected additions, so stay tuned on my Facebook fan page for barely-used pieces at rock-bottom reasonable prices.
