Also known as the ‘London; Day 2’, time just seem to move really fast today, and the only thing I managed to pick up today was the Mulberry Daria Keyring, which I got from their boutique at Westfield Village. Retailing for only GBP50, it looked great against the Mulberry Taylor Tote which I brought along for this trip. It is now officially my tote’s bag charm, and yes they do look great together.
And if you thought ION Orchard was big, wait till you see Westfield London. It is absolutely huge! Besides the ‘village’ which held all the luxury brands, the rest of this mall had giant duplex units that had brands like Topshop, Gap, H&M… the list just goes on and on, though honestly after a while it got very tiring walking from end to end.
Then again, I was only tired because we started the day bright and early at the British Museum, a childhood dream that finally came true for me. Since young I have been awed by its huge collection of antiquities from the world over, and today I stood in her halls taking it all in.
We also popped over to St Paul’s Cathedral, which was something that Boo wanted to see. Awesome, especially since this was a first for me as well. After that we trotted over the Millenium Bridge and headed to the Tate Modern, which was another eye opener of course.
Honestly, I am beginning to fall in love with London and I can see why people have left Singapore and never looked back. But before I can love her a little more, I will be heading to Paris for 6 days starting tomorrow (it is still Friday here in London), after which I will be back in London for more shopping, sightseeing and some ‘special’ events. Stay tuned!
