Bagaholicboy Muses #124 – Oh Beautiful Bath…

The city that left the deepest impression on me was also the one I spent the least time in, and going through all the images I took just leaves me yearning for more. Frankly in the beginning I only wanted to go to the City of Bath to see the Roman Baths, and figured spending just one night would suffice.

Boy was I wrong.

Located just one and a half hours from London Paddington, the beautiful Georgian City of Bath (with about 80,000 residents) looked almost exactly like it did in the 1800s, with notable and breathtaking landmarks including Pulteney Bridge which crosses River Avon (shown above), The Circus and Number 1 Royal Crescent. The list just goes on and on.

Here are more shots I took, including the obligatory Roman Baths; while it is a destination worth visiting it does not truly encompass the true beauty of Bath.

I’m just glad I made the trip out there. And I am definitely going back…

Am really pleased you loved Bath…it's REALLY near where I live when I'm not in London. Next time you come, go to the Bath Spa…all the water in the pools, jacuzzi and steam rooms are from the roman baths. Beautiful pics, you really captured the city well x x x
