As it was our final day today, we decided to head up to Montmarte and visit the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur (shown above), located on the highest point of the city.
And after that we took a long stroll; and a long (and lovely) walk it turned out to be, from rue Cambon (finally managed to try those Pierre Herme macaroons) all the way to Avenue des Champs-Élysées and had tea at Laduree (shown above).
I bought even more Longchamp (Mum I got you something as well), picked up something from the mothership (got my personal copy of the Louis Vuitton: Art, Design & Architecture hardcover) and one of our travelling companions got herself a Miu Miu Coffer in Blue Denim. Note to all fans, the Coffer is available in many colours here in Paris; and affordable too at around SGD1850 or so after the tax rebate.
For one thing, I now understand why your city attracts so many tourists and return vistors. I do hope to return very, very soon. And to the little bistro at the corner from where our hotel is that fed us almost every night; merci.
