Spring-Summer 2009 Womens Burberry

There is no faulting what Christopher Bailey did this season for Burberry. While I’m no critic, I can safely say this. Everything I’ve seen so far agrees with me, especially more so when it comes to the Spring-Summer 2009 Womens Burberry collection. It may not be glamourous or fashion-forward, but there is something very comforting about it all. Greenhouses, potting around the garden and down-to-earth sensibility, all these come to mind whenever I look at the collection.

Simple however does not mean any less luxurious, evident in the materials and trims used. Wooden bangles with alligator inlays, scarves in the softest crepe, incredibly detailed rose rings, even the Burberry Gardener Bag with trench degradé exploded check comes with exotic trims. In a word? Lush.

And before I sign off, here’s another variation of the Burberry Gardener Bag in degradé alligator leather. Luxe.

And the more affordable degradé leather Buberry Gardener Bag in Straw. Love.
