One of the core pieces from the Spring-Summer 2009 Mens Paul Smith collection is the holdall. Loads of you out there are fans, so it was time for a post, even if it was one with no real substance (my bad).
You see, I’m not exactly a fan, and I can’t wrap my head around the fact that I got to pay GBP230 (even more in Singapore I’m sure) for the Paul Smith Sailors Uniform Printed Holdall, though I must admit the name and design are both rather cheeky. Hot sailors. Half-naked and waiting for their uniforms. Nuff said.
Measuring 55 cm by 30 cm, each holdall (like the Paul Smith Union Jack Printed Holdall shown above) comes with its own removable shoulder strap. Inside, it’s lined in purple canvas and comes with 2 interior pockets (one of which is a zip pocket).
But would you pay for something that’s made of 100% polyester and looks unlikely to age gracefully? Sure it’s fun and quirky now, but trying toting it again 5 years from now and you’ll know what I mean. I’m on the fence with these polyester holdalls though they’ve got a couple in PVC which ain’t bad at all. I also adore their SLGs and other accessories, including the bow ties, scarves and hats which I uploaded to my Facebook fan page, so do check it out if you are keen.
