In a nod to the ongoing global recession, Christopher Bailey channels the austerity of post-war London for the Fall-Winter 2009 Burberry Prorsum collection. From pageboy caps to thick cabled knitwear (think Oliver Twist), everything is still oh-so-chic.
And now for the good stuff, overnight duffles with front pockets trimmed in full leather. From the looks of it, they will be offered in both suede/velvet (left) and wool (right), though I am not 100% sure.
These are much cleaner (without the front pockets), and come with the logo printed right across the duffel. All in all, I’m not exactly holding my breath for these just yet, but I’m curious what they will actually look/feel like in person.
And in other news, Burberry opened their latest store in Taipei yesterday at Sogo Tienmu. The 1300 sq ft boutique carries a full range of RTW for both men and women as well as accessories including bags, SLGs and shoes. So if you live there, or are heading up for a holiday soon don’t forget to check it out!
