Those who follow my blog regular will know I am not the greatest fan of Céline. I seriously believe it needs an image overhaul to refresh its dated image. Recently they launched this whole ‘Watch Me’ collection that left me aghast. They had bags split into different categories which included Watch Me Play, Watch Me Dance, Watch Me Work, Watch Me Move and Watch Me Live. So if you had to go to work, you used one from the Watch Me Work category? And if you wanted to go out for drinks after that, do you ditch your first bag and bring out the Watch Me Dance one? Or Watch Me Move? Do you dance? Or not? I still don’t get it.
But seriously if I had to choose just one bag I actually liked from Céline, it would be the Céline Boogie. It is one cute bag, though I’d admit it is not for everyone. I like the fact that it is boxy, though the short handles can be frustrating sometimes. It has also been made and sold in many different materials, from leather to suede and even canvas, constantly reinterpreted and in my heart, another one of those iconic bags every woman should have. This season I like the Céline Leather Boogie in Metallic Silver, which is now retailing at Diabro for around SGD1650 or so.
