My question is this. I’m about to buy my first Mulberry and can’t decide on the colour. As the Bayswater is a tad too big for my frame, I’ve settled on the Mulberry Ledbury. The one in Oak is gorgeous but I already have a Kate Spade in that colour. I’m looking for something in Black to replace an old Furla, but would a Ledbury in Black look too fuddy-duddy? I’m usually in Black for work and do plan to use the Ledbury for everyday work. There is also one in Chocolate that’s unique and goes better with most clothes… anyway I can’t decide. Please help?
A: Hey Kay, thanks for the stumbling into my blog and enjoying it. To be honest, your dilemma is actually a no-brainer. The Mulberry Ledbury in Black is not only ‘old’, it is also rather severe. And if you already have a large wardrobe comprised mainly of that colour as well, then maybe you should try and ‘lighten’ your accessories.
On the other hand, the one in Chocolate is definitely a better choice as it would make a great accent as well to your otherwise dark wardrobe. Trust me on this, you can’t go wrong with this pick.
And other bits:
1. Rendy, check out ck Calvin Klein now at Ngee Ann City. They got a huge markdown of leather bags in all shapes and sizes going for SGD200 to SGD300. Good deals to be had if you find what you are looking for.
2. Elly, of course it is a great choice. As I said countless times before, every woman should own at least one Speedy. The Louis Vuitton Monogram Mini Lin Speedy30 retails for SGD1180 here in Singapore.
3. Karen, have you brought your man to check out Jack Spade yet? Available at Kate Spade at Raffles City Shopping Centre and Wooonderland at Wheelock Place, both locations stock a wide variety of manbags. They got everything from totes to briefs to duffles and messengers in canvas or leather.
4. Andy, head down to YSL Paragon quickly. They are having a great sale with many many bags up to 60% off. I am sure you can find something suitable for your Mum.
