Spring is starting to look a little unusual. First we had insipid clutches from YSL, then paper bags made glam from Chanel. Now Hermès wants you ladies to be toting hard-sided beauty cases, briefcases and suitcases around when the snow starts to melt. All of them are made to look distressed and vintage which also means you can pick up a few from your local flea market and pass them off as Hermès runway originals (instead of actually paying an arm and 2 legs for any of them).
I love them, but I don’t really see the point of remaking something that already exists. Or am I missing Jean Paul Gaultier’s point completely? Check out the complete Spring-Summer 2009 Womens Hermès collection for yourself at Style and tell me what you think. As for me, I’ll just wait for this manbag from Hermès instead. I really, really, really want it.
