Longchamp LM Moerman Edition Handbag

In celebration of Longchamp’s 60th anniversary, a bestseller from the 70s has been reintroduced with the help of Belgian artist Jean Luc Moerman, resulting in the Longchamp LM Moerman Edition Handbag. Retailing for SGD1841, this large tote measures 50 cm by 34 cm and features ‘invading motifs on the leather, like a tattoo on skin’ so says the press release.

While I think the pattern is interesting, I can’t get around the fact that the design does not really fit the bag or the brand. Who would be the typical customer for this piece? I don’t get it…

Yeah Joe it is much too pricey for a Longchamp like this.

And Nikki, I agree, this pattern embroidered on a Le Pliage would be quite nice.

they sort of took on the prada fairy bag look right? that was the first one that popped into my mind upon seeing the picture.

    i don’t get it either.

they could’ve done this on the le pliage line and i think it would’ve worked much better.
