Ask The Bagaholicboy #21 – The Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Sac Bosphore Or The Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Beaubourg?

Q: Hello Bagaholicboy. I love your blog and I need your opinion. I’m actually saving for a Louis Vuitton bag, my first. I’m 15, a guy. I’m down to two bags. The Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Sac Bosphore (above) and the Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Beaubourg. The Monogram Canvas Sac Bosphore has leather trim and I think the price is just right. The Damier Ebene Beaubourg is kind of plain but I am strangely obsessed with it. I’m actually thinking of getting a Gucci bag, it’d be easier. Help!

A: Hey Paolo, nothing I love tackling more than a question on Louis Vuitton, so here goes. I actually saw a guy carrying a Monogram Canvas Sac Bosphore (SGD1810) when I was shopping yesterday, and honestly it did not look half bad. I like how you can either sling or hand carry it, and the front zip pocket makes it great for small personals. The Damier Ebene Beaubourg (SGD1270) on the other hand is an all-purpose tote, and it is well-compartmentalised on the inside for all your stuff. The other drawback is perhaps its single use, it can only be a tote and not much else.

Ok this is tough. If you are using the bag for school get the Damier Ebene Beaubourg. But if it is meant for casual outings with friends, shopping trips and so on, get the Monogram Canvas Sac Bosphore. Hope I made sense.
Love, Bagaholicboy
