Hermès Equestrian Holdall

More affordable than a Kelly and more readily available than a Birkin (for now anyway) is the Hermès Equestrian Holdall. Spotted at DFS Scottswalk Galleria and retailing for SGD3400, it is, in a word, huge. From the S/S09 collection, this chevron canvas holdall is big and roomy and has countless slot pockets that go around the interior of the holdall. You can tote it over your shoulder, or use the removable shoulder strap that comes with it.

A word of caution though. Because it is really that big and roomy, it can be quite cumbersome, so be absolutely sure that the size really suits you before you commit. And when all is said and done, this is truly a gem that would be a nice addition to any Hermès collection.

Lulu Guinness Seafood Restaurant Top Zip

Another revered British institution that’s famed for being offbeat, kooky and whimsical is Lulu Guinness. Something that I like from their current season’s collection is the Lulu Guinness Seafood Restaurant Top Zip. And while it is no longer available at their online site, it is available exclusively at Sole2Sole in Millenia Walk for SGD175.

But if cocktail prawns ain’t your thing, then how about the Lulu Guinness 50s Cosmetic Vanity Case? Measuring 25 cm by 15 cm, it is lined in nylon on the inside and comes with a cutesy circular mirror. It’s on sale now at the online site (and they do ship internationally). Was GBP50, now GBP25!

And that’s not all. Next week Sole2Sole will kick off their very own Lulu Guinness sale, so for those of you who prefer to check out the merchandise in person before you commit, don’t miss out.

Kate Spade Carmel Eddie

At first glance I’m reminded of Neapolitan ice cream, which is a good thing since this little darling is Kate Spade’s exclusive online offering for summer. The Kate Spade Carmel Eddie is a lightweight cotton canvas tote that’s perfect this season with shades and sandals. Measuring almost 33 cm across, it retails for USD275 (or around SGD400) and comes in 2 colours.

Besides Lipstick (the Neoplitan inspired one), they’ve got another Carmel Eddie in Yellow. And since it will only available online, you’ll probably have to use vPOST, OneNow or Globeshopper just to get this delicious tote. Yum…

Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Sunset Boulevard In Bleu Nuit

Here is another quick update on the new Monogram Vernis colours due out on 1 July 2009. From what I’ve heard, Bleu Nuit and Vert Bronze will replace Bleu Galactic and Vert Tonic, with no change to Rose Pop and Orange Sunset for the time being. I could be wrong about this, so best to check with your respective SA.

But back to the post at hand, first up we’ve got the Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Sunset Boulevard in Bleu Nuit (SGD1280, shown above). Refined isn’t it? I like how you can detach the shoulder strap and use it as an evening clutch. It even has 6 built-in card slots and a zippered pocket for loose change on the inside.

Next we’ve got the Bellevue sisters in GM and PM (SGD1650 and SGD1350 respectively), which I’ll like to put on record that I actually (still) dislike. The shape’s all weird and awkward, and I don’t get the all the angles. The new colours however do make it slightly more bearable.

And finally the one thing I am lusting over. Presenting the Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Zippy Coin Purse in Vert Bronze (SGD615) which could actually become the first Monogram Vernis item in my collection, though I’d really need to check it out in person first. Bagaholicboy News #99 – New Monogram Vernis Colours To Be Launched, Vert Bronze And Bleu Nuit!

Stunning aren’t they? Though I have had news about these 2 new colours for the longest time, I hadn’t received any images till today.

So without further delay, may I present exclusive first looks of the Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Alma MM in Vert Bronze and Bleu Nuit.

Then there’s the Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Wilshire Boulevard in Bleu Nuit, which is similar the Monogram Vernis Reade which has since been discontinued. I expect more bags and SLGs from the Monogram Vernis collection to be rolled out in these new colours soon, so expect more updates very soon.

And last but not least, not a new colour, but a new bag altogether. Here’s the soon to be released Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Melrose Avenue in Amarante. Lovely isn’t it.

Updated Again – Spring-Summer 2009 Mens Burberry Prorsum

Been getting a couple of emails asking me which of the Spring-Summer 2009 Mens Burberry Prorsum collection actually made it into Singapore, and I’ve got the replies from the local press office today. For starters, the Burberry Large Satchel Holdall is available locally, and it retails for SGD2895.

Also available here in Singapore is the Burberry Prorsum Canvas Check Tote Bag, and it goes for SGD2595.

Another notable mention is this pair of shoes, full leather with patent leather toe caps and rubber soles going for SGD950.

Bagaholicboy News #93 – More Louis Vuitton Releases!

It never ends does it? Every other week new bags and SLGs hit the shelves, and suddenly there is another reason to shop again. Here we got the Louis Vuitton Epi Bagatelle GM (SGD2930), also in the Rubis which is the latest colour addition to the Epi family (another bag in Rubis I covered recently is the Epi Passy). Besides the GM, it also comes in a smaller PM size which is styled more like a sling/shoulder bag.

Here’s another new style, the Louis Vuitton Epi Bagatelle Musette, a larger shoulder bag with circular metal loops on both sides for the shoulder strap which can be adjusted. Make it long enough and it can even be slung across the body.

I have honestly no idea what these are called, but these clutches are certainly interesting. Not saying I love them, I just said they were interesting. Shown here in Orange and Amarante.

And last but not least, the first of 2 new Suhali SLGs, this one’s the Louis Vuitton Le Prodigieux in Tanami (also a new colour for the Suhali collection). I do like its subtlety, you won’t even be able to tell it’s a Vuitton unless you look closely at the clasp buckle where the brand’s name is etched. This is also the longer version of the 2 new SLGs, the shorter one is called Suhali Le Sompetueux. Everything should available in boutiques by month’s end, and thanks again to X.H for the lovely images.

And in other news of interest to those in Singapore, Louis Vuitton ION Orchard is expected to open on 3 July 2009, almost 3 weeks before the rest of the mall opens. A huge launch party is already being planned (touted as the ‘biggest Vuitton event Asia this year’, with over 600 guests and international celebrities expected to attend.

I often get emails asking me what’s the most value-for-money entry level designer bag that’s gorgeous and stylish. Well, one of my personal favourites is the Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr Q Lil Riz. This post however is about the Marc by Marc Jacobs Lil Riz (shown above) which comes in a close second. For starters, it costs around SGD772 (with shipping to Singapore) at Net-A-Porter, which is a bargain in my books for a luscious hobo in 100% leather.

But that’s not all. It is also large and roomy, measuring 37 cm by 32 cm. You can carry it one of 3 ways, and it comes with 2 straps, a shorter shoulder one, and a longer one that allows you the sling the bag across your body. It is also fully lined on the inside, and comes with internal compartments which is great for all your personals. Plus, it is now available in 2 fabulous colours now too, choose between classic/elegant White, or vibrant/colourful Violet.

Burberry Leather Triple Wrap Watch

These strutted down the runway during the Spring-Summer 2009 Mens Burberry show and I thank the stars they made it into production.

Presenting the Burberry Leather Triple Wrap Watch, which features an antique palladium case that’s military inspired. I like the large face, the luminova numerals and the fact that I can coil the bridle leather strap round and round my wrist. Retailing for GBP395, it comes in Gold, or Black which retails for GBP325. I want!
