It isn’t enough that adults are generally fanatic when it comes to all things Chanel, because the devious folks over at the Parisian house have decided that they now want to start converting your offspring as well with the launch of this fun activity for kids.

Housed within Culture Chanel, you can pick from 7 iconic offerings, from the tweed jacket to the brooch, and use up to 36 different colours to create a combination that’s truly your own.

And while it’s targeted at kids, I have this sneaky feeling that adults will be the ones playing around with it the most, spending hours creating combinations they love which they can then print (or use it as their avatar on Twitter or Facebook).

The perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon on a Friday ahead of the long weekend in Singapore, if you ask me.

Mimobot USB Flash Drives

Having completely forgotten today that a local discount site was having these on sale, I was slightly miffed when I logged in and discovered most have sold out. No matter, there is nothing you can’t buy online these days and I decided to do a quick search on Google.

Before I knew it I was gushing over Mimobot’s best, running the gamut of characters from the Sanrio family like Chococat, My Melody, Badtz-Maru and Tuxedo Sam, along with 6 variations just for Hello Kitty alone. Besides these, they’ve also got flash drives in the form of Optimus Prime, R2-D2 and even Batman.

Priced from USD19.95 for a 2GB drive (they go up to 16GB, by the way), and with shipping at just USD5.75 if you order just one, it would come up to around SGD32 or so after conversion.

Inexpensive, adorable and functional too, what more can you ask for?

Hermès Box With Strap And Cowhide Handles

Certainly one of the most unusual things to come out from Hermès recently is the Hermès Box With Strap And Cowhide Handles which is technically not a bag in any sense. Those familiar with equestrian paraphernalia may find this familiar though, a resealable tin that’s traditionally used to hold grooming materials like brushes, soap and bridles.

More interestingly, it comes with a pair of cowhide handles (the bits on the left and right that look like ears), which I’m assuming are there to facilitate easy transport from point A to B. And since while most of us in urban Singapore won’t have a horse (or a stable for that matter), there’s no stopping you from getting one and being creative with it.

Use it to hold your favourite fragrances, or your plush collection of tiny Hello Kitty dolls (Sharon T, are you reading this?). Personally (and if the size permits), I will probably use it to hold all my SLGs sans boxes.

Available in two sizes, the smaller one will retail for SGD570 when it is eventually launched with the F/W11 collection in Singapore. Irrelevant and unnecessary, or a truly novel addition to any house proud Hermès fan? You tell me.

Bagaholicboy Muses #237 – Money, Money, Money

Following yesterday’s post on the Marc by Marc Jacobs Mr. Marc Money Clip, I decided to trawl the internet a little more and came up with a few more options, including this one from Tiffany & Co. Priced at SGD205, the 1837 sterling silver money clip is affordable, classy and stylish. And the expression on your man’s face when he gets his very own robin egg blue box would be priceless.

Links London has a snazzy collection of money clips as well, from the GBP110 sterling silver money clip (on the left) that allows you to personalise it by engraving your initials or a special message. If you prefer not to deal with tarnishing issues, get the one in stainless steel (on the right) for just GBP70. Links London ships internationally, by the way.

And so does Mulberry. GBP65, for the Mulberry Laser Cut Money Clip, which you can get online at their e-commerce site.

If you’d rather not deal with any forms of metal at all, check out the one in vachetta leather from Louis Vuitton that will set you back by SGD320. All leather, with embedded magnets to secure both ends (and your cash) together.

For another alternative, check out the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Nappa Money Clip which works the same way as the one from Louis Vuitton and will only set you back by SGD240.
