Bottega Veneta Arco 33 Bag

Ladies, take a look at the Arco, Bottega Veneta’s flagship bag that was unveiled during the Salone del Mobile design week in Milan, ahead of the official Pre-Fall 2019 launch in May. Taking inspiration from the Arco della Pace in Milan (hence the name), the bag comes with a dome-shaped flap, with long tubular handles that would look really comfortable when worn over the shoulder, but cleverly engineered across all 4 sizes so that while the handles might look really long, the bag’s base never touches the floor.

There’s something about the Arco, along with the newer designs like the Pouch and Maxi Cabat created by Daniel Lee that pair functionality with an aesthetic that’s fresh and modern. Keeping in tune with the luxury house’s use of quality leather and expert craftsmanship, another point worth mentioning is that the same bag design will be offered in two different looks.

In the case of the Arco, several pieces will come in a deconstructed orthogonal weave pattern for a contemporary look and feel, a step up from the conventional intrecciato weave that’s a signature at Bottega Veneta. These are also made from French calf, which gives it a soft texture for a sophisticated look and feel. Then there are the bags that come in a grained Palmellato calfskin, which will definitely appeal to those of you who prefer a clean silhouette without the weave.

Available in sizes starting from 33 (cm) which is the smallest in terms of width, the next sizes up would be the roomier 48 and 56, as well as a size 75 that’s also great for the guys. Lift the flap up and you will find a single zipped pocket and two open pockets to keep you nice and organised.

Finished with a fine contrast saddle stitch, the Arco is now available at Bottega Veneta boutiques islandwide. The cutest and chicest of the lot is the Arco 33 pictured above, which is priced at SGD3510 for the ones in Palmellato (no weave) and SGD4740 for the French calf versions. You will also be spoilt for choice when it comes to colour, with the bags coming in several hues like Bianco, Bordeaux, Butterscotch, Kaki, Nero and Wood.
