For those patiently awaiting the launch of Celine’s first-ever lipstick for fall 2024, here’s something to tide you over. The maison introduces a new scent, which brings its Haute Parfumerie offerings to a total of 12 perfumes. Finding its place in the day collection is Zouzou, an amber vanilla scent that captures the essence of a Parisian teenage girl.

As is the case with Celine’s other nostalgia-invoking juices, this latest creation takes a page from Hedi Slimane’s olfactory journal. This time with youth, a theme that has been central to the couturier’s work for decades. A tribute to the lively and sylph-like allure of fresh-faced icons from the ’60s, even its name is a reference to the affectionate nickname for young ladies with pixie haircuts.

So what does carefree lightheartedness and utopic adolescence smell like? Basically, Zouzou boasts notes of benzoin and tonka bean alongside patchouli and labdanum. Together, they underline the designer’s powdery olfactory signature of white musk and vanilla. A sweet, seductive and elegant blend that evokes eternal youth.

Can’t wait to get a whiff? You’ll just have to wait a little longer until June. That’s when Zouzou, at SGD425 for 100 ML, will drop into Celine boutiques at Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre.
