Luck is a quality that Van Cleef & Arpels holds close to its heart, and is the inspiration for some of the Maison’s most emblematic creations. From ladybirds to lucky charms and wooden talismans to the most iconic of them all, the four-leaf clover, since three-leaf clovers are common, and finding one with four leaves is said to bring the finder good luck, also the reason behind the creation of VCA’s Alhambra.

Chosen by the Maison as the trophy icon for 50 years, Jacques Arpels (the nephew of one of the founders, Estelle Arpels) has also been known to be a staunch collector of four-leaf clovers in the garden of his house. Having famously said ‘To be lucky, you have to believe in luck’ many times, wearing the Alhambra like a talisman that is meant to bring you luck. #CelebratingLuck
