Exclusive. Limited. Two words guaranteed to make us sit up on any given day. And two words that also apply to Moynat’s Loulou bag, one of the few styles that isn’t available off the shelves, but have to be pre-ordered directly with the boutique if you want to get your hands on one.

But before going into the ‘how’, here’s what makes the Loulou an extra special piece that you will definitely want to have in your bag collection. For one, the chic and curvaceous satchel comes only in the most stunning of colours (Petrol Blue and Saffron, shown above), both of which are easy on the eye and go with practically any outfit. Two, the bag comes with a clasp that’s a tribute to the metallic part of the automobile trunks’ front opening designed by Moynat back in the early 1900s. Three, the bag’s leather body doesn’t come in the typical Taurillon Gex (grained) or Veau Box (smooth) leather, but rather in Satin Calf, a clean and yet rich leather that has the most beautiful sheen.

The Loulou isn’t just about the outer beauty either. In a single size (20 cm by 20 cm by 7 cm), it comes lined with leather and is finished with an adjustable shoulder strap, making it the perfect bag to carry out on casual or formal occasions. Because the bag’s an exclusive piece, you would have to make a pre-order directly at Moynat. In Singapore that would be at Takashiyama Shopping Centre where the boutique is located at #01-10. Also, you’ll have to place a 100% deposit (that would be SGD7400, by the way) before it gets crafted from scratch and shipped over within 4 to 6 months. Ever heard the saying ‘good things are worth the wait’? Well, this is exactly what it means.
