Following Louis Vuitton’s Fall-Winter 2017 show that was all about the collaboration with coveted streetwear brand Supreme, Kim Jones has taken his Spring-Summer 2018 collection into the tropics and single-handedly made Hawaiian prints cool all over again.
Aside from the bright and bold floral prints, the show was also all about staying cool outdoors with lightweight outerwear pieces breezing down the runway. And of course, no Louis Vuitton collection is complete without all-new key bag and accessory offerings. Two that made an appearance included the Monogram Outdoor, a splash of colour on classic Monogram Canvas and the addition of an all-new Louis Vuitton font type, as well as the Monogram Split, one that literally splits the accessory between a black and white Monogram print.
Now on to the good news. You will be able to find all of the above displayed beautifully in an exclusive pop-up that launched today at Louis Vuitton’s Island Maison at Marina Bay Sands. What’s cool will also be a retro Volkswagen kombi van on site that’s almost entirely covered in Louis Vuitton’s Hawaiian print for all your Instagram photos. The entire tunnel will also be decorated with a tropical theme to set the mood in line with the collection of bags, accessories, RTW and shoes that are all ready for your shopping pleasure.
And with the pop-up staying put at MBS till 8 February 2018, there’s ample time for everyone to visit the store and experience the collection up-close. Also, do note that the store opens at 10.30 am, but closes late in the night at 11 pm, so there’s really no excuse to not head down after work, or over the weekend #happyshopping
