Chanel: Unveiling The New Code Coco All The Way From Paris!

I’ve got 2 words for you and it’s Code Coco. It isn’t a new bag or a new fragrance, but rather, a brand new timepiece from the French luxury house. Embracing the most iconic codes that epitomise the best of Chanel, this watch doesn’t just tell time, it can also be regarded as a piece of jewellery with a design that’s definitely different, well-thought-out and a total joy to actually wear.

Officially launched in Paris on 29 September (yes, I was there), I knew I loved it the moment I laid eyes on the slightly pixelated images months back on the phone. For starters, there’s that sexy steel bracelet that comes quilted with ‘checks’ that will sit on your wrist beautifully. Then there’s the single brilliant diamond that sits squarely on the watch face, an ode to Coco Chanel’s profound love of diamonds. Last but not least, the clasp that you see in the middle pays homage to, you guessed it, the 2.55 bag she created in 1955 that’s still as relevant today as it was over 62 years ago.

Aside from being the beauty that she is, the watch is equal parts functional, coming in a high precision quartz movement with a water resistance of up to 30m, which also means you can also look fabulous at the pool party and not worry too much about getting it wet. Available in a single silhouette, the 38.1 mm by 21.55 mm bezel is set on an elongated bracelet that comes with two different ‘crowns’. The first is all steel with a single diamond and priced at SGD7500, while the other, with diamonds adorning the crown (52 brilliant-cut diamonds, to be exact) will come in a notch higher at SGD13,800. Which is a steal, right?

You’ll find it now at Chanel’s Watches and Fine Jewellery Boutique at Ngee Ann City in Singapore, where it’s waiting for you to unlock its codes.
