Mulberry has another gem of a bag from its Fall 2017 collection that’s worth a second look, one with a perfectly round shape that’s named the Trunk Bag. Inspired by hat boxes from the 70s, it is topped with a number of elements that make it every bit as functional as it is stylish.

The standard Trunk Bag comes with a 20 cm diameter that unzips into a single quilted lining compartment, one that’s roomy enough for all your essentials (it does comes with a depth of 9 cm). On the exterior, the bag comes with a bombe handle that you can slide your hand into, allowing you to hold it like a clutch. Or, simply add on the detachable sling and you’re good to go.

Available in 2 different sizes, the Mini is essentially an adorable miniature of its bigger sister, the Regular, which is the focus bag of today’s post. Pieces available at our local Mulberry boutiques would include both sizes, with the Mini Trunk Bag (SGD460) coming in a calfskin leather in three classic colours (Crimson, Dark Amethyst and Gold Ochre) that are all croc-embossed. The Trunk Bag, on the other hand, comes in a silky calf leather material (SGD1590) for Crimson, as well as croc-embossed ones (SGD1660) in Dark Amethyst and Gold Ochre.

If you feel the need to add something additional to jazz up the bags, Mulberry offers a braided strap in silk twill that can be attached onto the bags to give it that added chic and fun twist. However, the braided silk strap is only available on Mulberry’s online store at USD561, where shipping will cost an additional USD45 to Singapore.
