Mulberry Fall 2017 Amberley

Yes, I’m still here, waving my little flag for British house Mulberry and still hoping that one day soon, things will turn around for them. This is not to say that they aren’t doing well, or their bags aren’t selling, but admittedly, they are not exactly the buzziest brand around at the moment, online, or off.

Still, I’m hopeful, and I’ll be fair here, their bags of late aren’t bad at all. Take, for example, the new Amberley from the Fall 2017 collection. Featuring a large front flap on its satchel-like body, there are two different styles at the moment, the first a 27 cm by 22.5 cm leather satchel, the other a larger 32 cm by 26 style that comes with an additional top handle.

Available in grained calfskin or silk calfskin (which I’m assuming just means smooth polished leather), you’ll find the Amberley in colours like Black, Clay, Oxblood and Rust. Priced at USD1265 and USD1568 respectively for the previously mentioned sizes, you could get the larger one for work and smaller one for play. I mean, it doesn’t look half-bad, the sizing is good and the prices are pretty decent. In other words, if you’re looking for a fuss-free number to add to the bag wardrobe, the Amberley is a pretty good candidate.
