Next to a piece of jewellery’s overall aesthetics, wearability is just as important, if not the most important factor one considers before committing to the purchase. And because we’re always on the lookout for a piece of jewellery that sits nicely on us that’s also comfortable because when we feel good, we look better.

Which brings us to this particular line that’s stated under every piece of Tiffany’s HardWear collection on their online portal. ‘Designed to be comfortable and easy to wear’ may be a rather bold statement by Tiffany but it also goes to show their commitment to quality and wearability. And with a collection like HardWear that’s both comfortable to wear and pleasing to the eyes, what’s not to love?

And while most of Tiffany’s HardWear collection that has been launched on April 28 at all boutiques worldwide is made up of an array of bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings, we have narrowed them down to the 3 must-haves from the collection for your perusal.

First up, we have the HardWear Wrap Necklace in 18k yellow gold (SGD18,800), a 92 cm wonder inspired by an archive piece (see above for the original ad) that’s long enough to be looped over such that the ball and the lock seem to be on two separate chains, as if you draped two necklaces over your neck. Then there’s the HardWear Triple Drop Earrings (SGD4100, also in 18k yellow gold), a clear knockout as far as earrings are concerned. There’s something about the graduation of the golden orb that hangs ever so beautifully, a chic and unique piece that’s a natural showstopper. Rounding up the trio, it’s also a necklace (HardWear Graduated Link Necklace, SGD15,600) that starts small at the clasp before it gradually increases in size till you get to the front of the necklace. And no, you won’t end up looking like a mafia boss from the 80s.

Besides the 18k yellow gold pieces, some of the pieces do come in sterling silver as well, so there’s definitely something for everyone. From Tiffany’s HardWear Ball Ring (SGD345) to the HardWear Ball Dangle Ring (SGD685), these are pieces you can slip on on days when you feel more silver than gold. The silver jewellery also extends to other pieces like the HardWear Bead Cuff (SGD675) which comes in the familiar Tiffany & Co. silhouette that’s finished with polished orbs on either end.

Contrary to its name, HardWear isn’t hard to wear at all. Rather, it’s designed to be comfortable and easy to wear. And we rather believe that Hard is better used to describe the women that Wear these pieces. She’s bold, she’s confident and she’s strong. Are you?
