When something’s right, it’s almost perfect. Which rings true in the case of Tod’s recent collaboration with famed tattoo artist Saira Hunjan for the Tod’s Tattoo collection that’s already in stores. Featuring an ancient motif of enveloping lions that’s engraved on leather, the collection encompasses both handbags and footwear in a line-up that’s suited for both men and women.

There’s the Double Tattoo-Inspired Messenger (SGD3060), a 41 cm by 31 cm shoulder sling with a generous flap that comes silkscreened with the ancient motif. And then there are the shoes that I love, from the Gommino driving shoes (SGD870) to the slip-ons (SGD850) and the sneakers with fancy laces (SGD870) that all come with the same beautiful print. What’s even more interesting is the fact that on the driving shoes, the design is not only on the front but also extends to the bottom of the shoe, making for a visually stunning piece that’s big on both form and function since we already know how comfortable Tod’s shoes are to begin with.

In other words, if you’ve always wanted a tattoo (like me) but have been too chicken to actually get one (like me), this collection could be for you. You’ll just have to head down to Tod’s Marina Bay Sands or Paragon soon because everything is strictly limited edition with finite quantities available.
