Buly 1803 Scented Candle Collection

I’d be the first to admit it, I’m a sucker when it comes to good packaging, because as far as I’m concerned, that’s half the battle won. And with these Buly 1803 candles that come housed in carved marble vessels that are topped with glass domes that look like breasts (you see the nipple, don’t you), I’m completely sold.

Buly 1803 is a French perfumer that was first established in Paris’ fashionable Rue Saint-Honoré in, you guessed it, 1803. Today, it sells everything related to beauty, from hand balms and soaps to toothpaste and the subject of this post, scented candles. And while I don’t personally know if anything is really good, the packaging is really beautiful, from illustrated coiled serpents decorating tubes of toothpaste to old-world graphics adorning everything from face creams to shaving creams.

Now available via Net-A-Porter, the 3 candles include Retour d’Egypte, Généraux d’Empire and Campagne d’Italie, with scents guaranteed to please even the most olfactory-fussed amongst you. Priced at USD165 a candle, these beauties won’t look out of place on any marble-topped table and make great festive gifts too, don’t you think?
