Chloé S/S16 Drew

There’s something to be said about Chloé bags that I’ve realised have all taken on this slightly retro, slightly vintage feel that’s also somehow refreshingly modern for today’s girl on the go. There’s the Georgia, the curved, almost half-moon bag that’s actually very similar to a vintage Cartier bag I’ve seen before, as well as the slightly edgy Faye that’s still more ladylike than another bag featuring a huge ring detail in the middle, J.W. Anderson’s new Pierce bag.

But today’s post isn’t about the Faye or the Georgia. Today we’ll just be focusing on Drew, that in my imaginary world would have been designed for a certain Ms Barrymore who shares the same first name as this bag.

Featuring a large rectangular clasp set against a voluptuously-curved body, the Drew is one of those bags that wouldn’t look out of place in the 60s or the noughties, made complete with a gleaming gold sling for that sexy, sensual finish. Available in at least 3 sizes (a Nano, a Mini and a Small), the Nano measuring 16 cm by 14 cm, the Mini measuring 19.5 cm by 17.5 cm, while the Small ‘spans’ 23 cm by 20 cm.

And while Singapore doesn’t have a Chloé boutique, I think you’ll find some at On Pedder at either Ngee Ann City or Scotts Square. Your next best bet would be Net-A-Porter where they have a huge selection of Chloé bags both classic and seasonal, including the Drew where it’s priced from GBP790 to GBP1230, which makes them rather affordable as well. Beautiful and well-priced, what else could you ask for?
