If there’s one thing to be said about Bulgari, it’s how they never, ever shy away from the big or the bold. In fact, as far as the Italian jeweller is concerned, the more bling it is, the more shiny they are, the better. Everyone knows of their B.zero1 rings, thick chunky bands of gold that somehow still sit so beautifully on the finger, with their latest 3-gold ‘Perfect Mistake‘ B.zero1 ring a firm favourite of mine.

And then there are these, from their new Octo Ultranero collection that were recently unveiled at Baselworld 2016. Not content with just using stainless steel, their Octo Ultranero Solotempo timepieces come treated with black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) for that ultra-luxe finish. Featuring 41 mm watch faces that come with a full 18K pink gold bezel and crown set (right) or a DLC crown with its crown set in 18K pink gold (left), both pieces come with integrated rubber straps for that handsome rugged finish most men will appreciate. Double barrel, 50 hour power reserve, water-resistant up to 100 metres, the watches are priced at SGD13,950 and SGD10,050 respectively.

For something that’s a bit more levelled-up, there’s this, the Octo Ultranero Velocissimo that’s a chronograph with auto-winding features. Otherwise it’s pretty much the same as the former pieces, with 41 mm 18K pink gold bezel and crown set, date display and of course, the integrated rubber wrist strap. Exceedingly handsome and priced at SGD17,770, here’s what you else you need to know about the collection. Firstly, there are many more variations that you’ll see at Bulgari boutiques at Marina Bay Sands or Ngee Ann City, and secondly (and more importantly) they are all now available in Singapore for your kind consideration.
