Hermès S/S16 Collier de Chien

This isn’t necessarily a new post on the Collier de Chien, and truth be told I did many of these posts before. And there isn’t anything actually new about it either, well save for the fact that it now comes in RGH (rose-gold plated) as well, which frankly already happened long ago. There’s also palladium (silver), gold (yellow-gold plated) and something called Permabrass (correct me if I’m wrong), a shade or so lighter than your regular yellow gold.

It comes in 3 sizes, XS, S, and L, with girls usually going for the first two sizes and boys opting for the last. And then there’s the leather they come in, which range from the smooth and suave Swift calfskin to the reliably grained Epsom calfskin that’s pretty good at warding off accidental scratches and nicks.

I guess the point I’m trying to make after everything I’ve said is this. While it used to be harder to spot (and buy) a Collier de Chien in the past (finding one in any store was akin to spotting a unicorn in the enchanted forest), increased production and decreased demand (again, I’m just guessing here) have made it easier to actually get the one your heart so desires, which frankly was unheard of in the past.

On Hermès’ UK online portal alone I found the 15 you see above, each one different, each one prettier than the last. Priced at GBP780 apiece (or around SGD1500 after conversion), I’ll sign off with its prices in EUR, USD as well, which are EUR975 and USD1150, or SGD1495 and SGD1557 after conversion respectively.

Does anyone know how much they are retailing for in Singapore now?
