If you’re looking for a soft slouchy number that’s good for both work and play, then why not consider Coach’s new S/S16 bag that’s also easy on the eyes and pretty affordable as well. Named the Rouge, it’s a boxy one too, the 32 cm by 25 cm body packing in a lot for a bag this size. Besides a trio of interior compartments, of which two are lined in suede, there’s also a main compartment where most of your stuff will go into, with a zip pocket on one side, a French clasp purse pocket on the other, as well as a leather key loop that’s great for latching your keys onto.

On the outside you’re looking at a pair of top handles, another pair of sling handles that allows you to wear the Rouge comfortably over the shoulder (these can be removed as well, by the way), as well as a really long leather zip closure that is purely there for aesthetics IMHO. Packing other details like a mini padlock, a leather key fob to hold said lock’s key and a special hangtag, deciding on which colour you actually want would be the hardest bit.

Besides the two colours that you see above (Hay and Cornflower), prices start from just SGD1600 for the regular Rouge in leather. And if you fancy something with a little bit of exotic leather, there are the Rouge bags that come with either ostrich or python leather wrapped handles. Priced at SGD2300 and SGD1995 respectively, all these variations in various colours are now available at Coach boutiques islandwide, but if you want all the options, the flagship store at Wisma Atria would be your best bet.
