With travel being the central theme of Chanel’s S/S16 collection (you know, it being #ChanelAirlines and all), it was a matter of time before a post dedicated to all the travel trolleys (also known as the #CocoCase) from this collection appeared on this blog.

Measuring 55 cm by 37 cm by 22 cm, the first thing you’ll have to note is that they are all cabin-sized, because a) it wouldn’t make sense to have something so pretty sitting in the underbelly of the airplane half of the time, and b), how else would you be able to match it with your Classic Flap from the new collection, but more on that later.

Size aside, it’s as pretty travel trolley-functional as it gets. On the front, you find a zip pocket, and the trolley itself unzips at the side which reveals an interior that’s pretty straightforward. Besides the addition of the 2 more zip pockets on the inside, you’ll also find a luggage tag and a ‘raincoat’ for trolley, you know, for times when it needs to be covered up because the weather’s bad or God forbid for some reason you really have to check it in. But hey, at least you’re prepared, right?

Available in a wide variety of colours and materials, the ones in toile with grained calfskin trim (shown above) are by far the most interesting. Bright and colourful with an abstract tweed pattern, look closely and you’ll see the Classic Flap-shaped padlocks hanging from the side. Cute. Price-wise, these will retail for SGD7180 apiece, just so you know.

Moving along we’ve got more variations, on the left, the trolley in glazed patent calfskin (SGD10,370) and on the right, in tweed with grained calfskin (SGD7180). With the former costing almost 3000 more than the one in tweed, it’s also pretty obvious why. One’s full leather, the other, fabric. Also note that because it is in full leather, it is also much much heavier than the ones in say, toile or tweed.

Here are two more full leather variations, both in grained calfskin in Black (on the left) and Silver (on the right). Priced at SGD10,370 each, here’s the last thing I want to bring up. See the little bags that go on top of the travel trolleys? Whether it’s the Classic Flap in printed calfskin (top image, SGD7280) or the grained lambskin Vanity Case that comes with a sling (3rd image, SGD6220), Chanel has made sure that every travel trolley comes with a matching bag, be it a sling bag or a backpack or even totes, because that would make travelling even more fun, right?
