‘A thing of beauty is a joy forever.’ Those words come immediately to mind when one sets eyes upon Bulgari’s S/S16 limited edition bag of the season, the Serpenti Forever. An icon in her own right, the Serpenti is made even more stunning with this limited edition variation that you could say is the best one they have ever created and one that beautifully brings together their world of high jewellery and bag-making savoir faire.

In a process that must have been painstakingly precise, the pattern takes inspiration from a 1968 archive necklace belonging to Bulgari that’s made up of cabochon-cut emeralds, rubies and sapphires that are then liberally sprinkled with brilliant-cut diamonds. Screen printed onto precious python leather, the bag is then hand-polished for a sheen that’s second to none. So hard to make are these bags that only 68 pieces exist, with the bad news being that Singapore’s allotment of these limited bags have already been pre-sold.

Which is no surprise really, given how beautiful it is. Still, there’s no harm heading down to Bulgari boutiques at Marina Bay Sands and Ngee Ann City to enquire on future availability because truly, a beauty like this won’t come around again anytime soon.
