There really isn’t much else to say about Chanel’s current F/W15 collection. You know it’s called Brasserie Gabrielle, the runway show set beautifully within your typical Parisian cafe that’s oh so très chic. And with the collection referencing everything from the mosaic tiles to literal interpretation with perspex plates and menus made into clutches, the only thing left was perhaps the chairs.

Well, not anymore.

Spotted on Chanel’s online site are a trio of these Boy Chanel bags, featuring braided fabric that look very much like the backs of said chairs in your typical chic Parisian cafe. Trimmed in calfskin in a variety of colours, my gut feel is that the braided part in the middle is also leather (and not actually fabric as mentioned on the site) because a) it actually looks like leather and b) that would explain its prices, which start from SGD6490.

Measuring 20 cm by 12 cm for the Small (SGD6490) and 25 cm by 14.5 cm for the Medium (SGD7040), they are rather gorgeous if you’re looking for a Boy Chanel that’s well, styled a bit differently. And if I had to pick just one, it would have to be the one in black/white because it’s also the most classic of the lot, no?
