Hill & Friends Happy Satchel In Leopard Print

If you’ve been wondering what ever happened to Emma Hill since she left Mulberry, the answer is, not much apparently. Let me explain. Yes she’s back with a new label which she started with friends (hence the name, Hill & Friends), but that’s about all that’s really different.

Having just debuted her new collection at Claridge’s (which also happens to be where Mulberry used to do their shows), it was a madcap experience to say the least, with the scene set in pink, from the pink milk to the pink cookies and bellhops dressed in pink and burgundy presenting her new bags on silver platters. Or on a bellhop cart. Or slung across their shoulders. But you get the picture. Which having attended a couple of Mulberry shows in London myself, was rather Mulberry too, if I might add.

And then there are the bags (and there are two), one of which looks like the Mulberry’s Lily but we’ll get to that another day. Right now we’ll just focus on the Happy Satchel (shown above) which some have said online looks like the lovechild of Hermès’ Birkin and Ralph Lauren’s Ricky.

Now available online via Net-A-Porter, the 32 cm by 26 cm bag isn’t without its merits. <pregnant pause> Ok, let me try again. The bag is now available via Net-A-Porter, available in printed leopard calf (GBP1795) and textured leather (GBP1095) in Black, Burgundy and Emerald.
