You would already know that Christian Louboutin is finally launching his own beauty line, and the nail polishes, numbering some 30 in all, will be available come September 2014. Paying tribute to the lacquer that made his soles world famous when he swiped a bottle from his assistant and started applying it to the underside of the shoe, the rest as they say, is history.
But before that happens, you can buy the first colour (Rouge Louboutin, shown above), for HKD450 a pop (that’s around SGD72 after conversion) online now via Christian Louboutin if you are based in SAR, or from 1 August at the two boutiques (and the two store-in-store boutiques in Lane Crawford) in Hong Kong.
And because I’ll run out of space if I have to showcase all 30 shades in this post, here’s a selection of 12 from the 3 different lines, including 3 from Noirs, 3 from Nudes and 6 from Pops. Pretty much self-explanatory, no? So, would you pay almost SGD70 for a 13 ml bottle of nail lacquer with a reported 8-inch spike that’s the cap as well?
